Quezon City is an enormous city that is strangely equal parts bustling and bucolic. It’s home to many government offices, major educational institutions, and malls malls malls. It’s also the closest thing the Philippines has to Hollywood. But it also has far-flung areas that feel far removed from the rest of Metro Manila; going to those places would feel like a day trip if you’re coming from the South, and once you get there, you might even ask, “Are we still in Quezon City?” Yeah, this place is that big.
QCitizen doesn’t presume to know everything about Quezon City. We can’t even claim that we’re going to show you the best the city has to offer or that we’re theĀ source for all things QC. We’ve lived here all our lives, and we’re still discovering lots of backroads and neighborhoods we’ve never even heard of before.
But that’s the whole point of this website: to discover what’s in QC, what’s new, and what’s still around. There will be food (of course). There will be museums, events, and art. There will be a collection of silly, funny, and interesting things around the city. There may even be occasional commentary.
As of this writing, we are still working on building the website, but we’d like for you to tag along anyway as we check out what’s going on in QC.
